Business by The Book is a Christian practice. Not your typical practice though. First, in that it is a practice that is run according to Biblical principles. Second, in that it’s not a business that exists to make profits for the partners (not that there is anything wrong with that – it is just not the mission of this practice). Nor is it a business that gives some of its profits away like a social enterprise (not that there is anything wrong with that either). But a practice that is a registered charity. Which means that it is not only a not-for-profit (NFP) enterprise, but it has objectives acceptable for registration (by the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission, the ACNC).
We are a Christian charity. It’s a charity because we exist to serve those NFP, principally in Australia, that exist to help people who are suffering. And it’s Christian because the staff work with the hope of sharing their faith with those that don’t yet know Jesus as their saviour. They do this, and without charge for their time, because of the love of God shown in the sacrifice of his only son, and in a practical working of that part of the Lord’s Prayer that says “Your kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven.”
