The company

Business by The Book is the business name of the Australian Proprietary Company, Limited by Shares called Business by The Book Pty Ltd (ACN 167 960 803). The company was registered, by Ted Sherwood, on 10 February 2014. This information can be confirmed by searching under ‘Companies & organisations’ on the regulator’s website www.asic.gov.au.

The company is a ‘Not-for-profit Company’, a type of ‘special purpose company’ (www.asic.gov.au), and its only shareholder is Ted Sherwood, who is also the sole director.

The charity

Ted applied for charity status for the company with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). This was granted on 17 February 2014 (ABN 49167960803), with the subtype ‘Advancing religion’. The company’s ‘governing document’ (ACNC) is its constitution. Tax status

Business by The Book Pty Ltd, trading as Business by The Book is also the trading name of the public practice of which Ted Sherwood is the Principal.
